Join us for Charity Football tournament on the 18th May at MK Dons Football Club

Following the success of last year’s tournament, we are pleased to announce the second annual Exclusive Networks Charity Football Tournament. This year the tournament will take place at MK Dons.

Last year we raised nearly £15,000 for Kidney Research UK and Sheffield Hospital Charity and this year, with your help, we are looking to double that. The money that has gone to the Sheffield Hospital Charity has been used to provide Smart TV’s in the waiting room and the dialysis training room.We are also proud to host the biggest corporate event for Kidney Research UK.

We had a great turnout last year as can be seen by the below feedback:

“The results didn’t matter the fact we raised a sizeable sum of money for Kidney Research was the primary goal. The amount of teams which participated demonstrated the competitive edge within our channel but also the willingness to support a loyal employee of Exclusive Networks who had the desire to help those who have and will continue to help him.” Carl Berry - Fortinet

“Great event and we really enjoyed it. We’ve played in loads of these over the years and this was the best one.” Chris Deverill - NTT Com Security

“thank-you for organising a great event, it was great to see so many from the industry backing the day for charity.” Duncan Kirk - Imago (and the 2016 tournament winners!)

If you’d like to join us for the day this year, we have many sponsorship opportunities available for you and your team. We’re also looking for girls teams to join the tournament this year, so if you’re interested then get involved! For further information please contact Sam Blackburn - SaBlackburn@exclusive-networks.com or 07741 310848.

A corporate rate is available until the 14th April at the Double Tree hotel located at the ground. Please contact Sam or Stuart for more details.

Sam’s story - an update

After being born with Chronic Renal Failure, Sam had to have a full right nephrectomy and a partial left nephrectomy. He started PD Dialysis at the age of 21 before receiving an all awaited kidney transplant in April 2007. The transplant was successful and Sam had 9 ½ years of good health. Unfortunately in October 2015 he was told that his kidney was failing and would have to have a new transplant whilst going back on dialysis in the meantime. Sam had his dialysis operation last January and is currently on the transplant list. Unfortunately, after being tested, Sam’s little brother was not a match and he is still waiting for a match. After the success of last year’s football tournament, some colleagues also came forward for testing with one currently being in the final stages – hopefully with news of a match to follow!
